RESOLUTION NO. 27-25 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
BUCKEYE, ARIZONA, APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO THE 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH MARICOPA COUNTY 
ADMINISTERED BY ITS HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT RELATING 
TO THE COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAM; AND, AUTHORIZING THE 
MAYOR TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALF 
OF THE CITY. 
 
WHEREAS, the City of Buckeye (“City”) and Maricopa County, administered by its 
Human Services Department (“County”) entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement (“IGA”) 
for the provision of Community Action Program (“CAP”) services for the term of July 1, 2024 
through June 30, 2025; and, 
 
WHEREAS, both Parties desire to extend the Agreement term for the period of July 1, 
2025 through June 30, 2026; and,  
 
WHEREAS, the IGA authorizes the Parties to renew the IGA by and through a written 
amendment, signed by authorized representatives of both Parties. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Buckeye, Arizona, as follows:  
 
Section 1. 
The recitals above are hereby incorporated as if fully set forth herein.   
 
Section 2. 
Amendment No. 3 to the IGA by and between the City and the County is 
hereby approved in substantially the form and substance on file with the City Clerk and is 
incorporated herein by reference. 
 
Section 3. 
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute and deliver the Agreement, 
and the Mayor, the City Manager, the City Attorney, and the City Clerk are hereby authorized 
and directed to execute all documents and other necessary or desirable instruments and to take 
all steps necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of this Resolution.  
 
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Buckeye, Arizona, 
this 17th date of June.
