Council to hold a public hearing and take action (roll call vote) on the Truth-in-Taxation (TNT) Primary
Property Tax Levy for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 equal to $16,678,998.
SUMMARY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Council will conduct a public hearing to discuss, consider and take action approving a Fiscal Year 2025-
2026 Primary Property Tax Levy of $16,678,998. The primary property tax levy is not restricted and may
be used for any/all services to the Community. Council to adopt and approve a Fiscal Year 2025-2026
primary property tax levy of $16,678,998. It is the City's intention that the City's primary property taxes for
a $100,000 valued home not exceed $180. The FY 2025-2026 estimate is $160.
BENEFITS:
The primary property levy provides funding for the City's service delivery programs.
FUTURE ACTION:
Public Hearing on the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Final Budget on June 3, 2025. Adoption of Fiscal Year
2025-2026 Property Tax Levy on June 17, 2025.
FINANCIAL IMPACT STATEMENT:
The recommended levy is $1,349,446 greater than the previous year, a total levy increase of 8.8%. The
City's primary property tax rate is estimated to be $1.60 per $100 of taxable assessed value. The City's
primary property taxes for a $100,000 valued home will decrease from $161 to $160.
