Council to hold a public hearing and take action on Resolution No. 11-25 adopting a budget; setting forth
the receipts and expenditures and the amounts proposed to be raised by direct property taxation for the
various purposes for the Fiscal Year 2025-2026.
SUMMARY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Council must conduct a public hearing to discuss, consider, and take action on approving the Final
Budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026. On May 20, 2025, Council approved Resolution No. 10-25 in the
amount of $819,669,500, the tentative budget. Notice was published as required by law. Arizona Revised
Statutes provide that the total amounts proposed to be spent in the final budget shall not exceed the total
amounts that were proposed for expenditure in the adopted, published tentative estimates.
BENEFITS:
Satisfies the State requirement to annually adopt the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Final Budget and sets forth
the financial resources plan for Buckeye's Fiscal Year 2025-2026 service delivery programs.
FUTURE ACTION:
Adoption of Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Property Tax Levy on June 17, 2024.
FINANCIAL IMPACT STATEMENT:
The Final Budget estimate for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 is $819,669,500.
