ACTION/MOTION: (This language identifies the formal motion to be made by the Council) 
Council to take action on the Job Order Contract (JOC) No.2025109 between the City of Buckeye, an
Arizona municipal corporation, and Schofield Civil Construction LLC, an Arizona corporation, related to
pre-construction and construction services in connection with the new water treatment system at
Tartesso Water Campus in an amount not to exceed $1,653,215; and authorize the City Manager to
execute contract and additional contracts with other vendors in connection with said treatment system; in
an amount not to exceed $2,250,000 on behalf of the City.
SUMMARY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Currently, the Tartesso Water System is experiencing elevated levels of arsenic and fluoride. To operate
the wells without concern of exceeding the maximum containment level (MCL), treatment of both
constituents is required. On September 17, 2024, Council approved the contract with Purifics Water Inc.
for the continuous ultra-filtration (CUF) system which is anticipated to be delivered in Summer 2025.
Through the use of the city’s JOC, Schofield will prepare the city’s water campus to install the CUF
system. Design and permitting is anticipated to be performed by a consultant through the city’s on-call
contract.

Efficient and effective treatment of the city’s groundwater at the Tartesso Water Campus.

Funding for FY26 is subject to Council approval and adoption of the FY26 budget.
