ACTION/MOTION: (This language identifies the formal motion to be made by the Council) 
Council to take action on Change Order No.1 to Task Order No. 26 to the On-Call Consulting for
Engineering and Architectural Services Contract (No. 2022003.22) between the City of Buckeye, an
Arizona municipal corporation, and Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., a North Carolina corporation,
related to the Engineering Design Standards Update for 2025; and authorize the City Manager to
execute and deliver said Task Order on behalf of the City of Buckeye.
SUMMARY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Ensuring the Engineering Design Standards are kept up to date is key for proper, consistent plan reviews
and to provide clear direction for development within the City. This Change Order #1 to Task Order No.
26 for services with Kimley-Horn and Associates will provide consulting services to continue updating the
City's Engineering Design Standards. Updates will include overall updates to certain standards,
incorporating addendums, correcting known errors, updating formatting, and providing a master template
for new standards. All existing standards will be updated in some form or other. Services for these
updates will increase the total not to exceed amount by $99,865.00, from $149,720.00 to $249,585.00
and is within the current budget.
BENEFITS:
The benefits of this approval will be to further support the Development Services Department in
maintaining or exceeding customer service expectations for the infrastructure planning and civil review
services and providing better direction for all development within the City of Buckeye.
