ACTION/MOTION: (This language identifies the formal motion to be made by the Council) 
Council to take action on Delivery Order No. 5 to the Job Order Contract (JOC No. 2025081) between
the City of Buckeye, an Arizona municipal corporation, and M.R. Tanner Development and Construction,
LLC, an Arizona limited liability company, related to public roadway repairs, reconstruction of existing
multiple roadway paver sections within the Sun City Festival neighborhood; and authorize the City
Manger to execute and deliver said Change Order on behalf of the City of Buckeye.
SUMMARY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This project will reconstruct roadway pavers located within the Sun City Festival neighborhood at three
existing locations: (1) Canyon Springs Blvd, north of Sun Valley Parkway, (2) Desert Vista, west of
Canyon Springs Blvd., and (3) Mountain View Drive, north of Desert Vista.
Work to include removal of existing pavers to be replaced with new Belgard 3-Piece Combo Dimensions
6 concrete pavers and remove and replace polymetric sand per City of Buckeye Standard Detail 63205.
Remove concrete where cracks are present and replace with Portland Cement Concrete per Maricopa
Association of Governments (MAG) Public Works Standards 342.2.2 detail. All Portland Cement
installation shall be performed per MAG Public Works Standards 505.5.4; dowels shall be placed 12” on
center.
BENEFITS:
This paver reconstruction project addresses underlying structural issues by removing and repairing the
existing subgrade and base layer degradation. This project will significantly reduce the risk to the
traveling public by addressing the heaving and displacement of existing pavers, which currently poses a
hazard to vehicle undercarriages. In addition to improving safety, this project will enhance the overall
quality of the travel experience and the restoration will contribute to the neighborhood's visual appeal,
providing a refreshed and well-maintained streetscape which reflects the community’s character.

FINANCIAL IMPACT STATEMENT:
Funding for this project is included within the first draw of the City’s Government Obligation (GO) Bond.
The cost of this project is $953,963.89. Council to approve transfer of appropriations not to exceed
$954,000 from 30539199-570020 to 50223170-543260.
