Council to take action on the 2025 Summer Council Meeting Schedule by cancelling the Regular City
Council Meetings scheduled for July 15, 2025, August 5, 2025, and August 19, 2025.
SUMMARY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
City Code Section 2-4-1 Regular Meetings 
The council shall hold regular meetings on the first and third Tuesday of each month at six p.m.; provided
that when the day fixed for any regular meeting of the council falls upon a day designated by law as a
legal holiday, such meeting shall be held at the same hour on the next succeeding day not a holiday,
unless otherwise noticed by the city. When deemed appropriate any regular meeting date of the council
may be changed or cancelled by the mayor or by a majority of the council and that such notice of the
cancelled or rescheduled meeting shall be given to the public as is reasonable and practicable under the
circumstances. All regular meetings of the council shall be held in the council chambers of the city,
unless otherwise noticed by the city.
The cancellation of the July 15, 2025, August 5, 2025, and August 19, 2025 Regular City Council
Meetings will be legally posted. If for any reason action is required on an item, a Special City Council
Meeting will be scheduled and legally posted accordingly.
