A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MESA, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
ENDORSING 
THE 
CREATION OF THE SHERWOOD MESA IRRIGATION WATER 
DELIVERY DISTRICT. 
WHEREAS, certain landowners within the Sherwood Mesa Subdivision, which is 
located within the City of Mesa and generally bounded by University Drive on the north, 
Pepper Place on the south, Stapley Drive on the west, and Hunt Drive on the east, desire 
to create an irrigation water delivery district to be known as the Sherwood Mesa 
Irrigation Water Delivery District; and 
WHEREAS, A.R.S. § 48-261(E) provides that if a proposed irrigation water 
delivery district would include property located within an incorporated city or town, then 
the board of supervisors of the county in which the proposed district is to be located shall 
approve the creation and au~orize circulation of petitions for the formation of the district 
only if the governing body of the city or town has by ordinance or resolution endorsed 
such creation, and 
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Mesa has weighed and considered the 
merits and potentjal impacts of the creation of the proposed irrigation water delivery 
distri_ct, 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council. of the City of 
Mesa, as follows: 
Section 1 : 
The City Council hereby endorses the creation of the Sherwood 
Mesa Irrigation Water Delivery District. 
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Mesa, Arizona, this
