Program Information Summaries 
 
Winter Wonderland 
On December 4, the Head Start Birth to Five Program organized a Winter Wonderland 
at the Deer Valley district office. Children engaged in building snowmen, catching 
snowflakes, performing musical steps, and posing for photos with Santa. Teachers and 
caseworkers supervised stations and assisted with registration. Families enjoyed pizza 
and received educational materials. Over 300 people attended the event.  
 
Social Development Activity 
On December 11, the Head Start Birth to Five Program facilitated a social-emotional 
activity in the classroom, engaging small groups to identify feelings, explore new 
emotions, and match facial expressions. Using a board game, children practiced key 
social skills, including asking questions, taking turns, listening, and collaborating.
