RESOLUTION NO. 
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
MESA, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING 
THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO ENTER INTO 
AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH MESA 
UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT #4 FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF 
THE SALARY AND BENEFITS OF MESA POLICE OFFICERS 
TO PERFORM SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER DUTIES. 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MESA, 
MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, AS FOLLOWS: 
Section 1: Approving and authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to enter 
into an Intergovernmental Agreement with Mesa Unified School District #4 for 
reimbursement of the salary and benefits of Mesa Police Officers to perform School 
Resource Officer duties. 
Section 2: That the City Manager or designee is authorized and directed to 
execute the Intergovernmental Agreement, and any related amendments or supplements 
thereto on behalf of the City of Mesa, and the City Clerk is authorized and directed to 
attest to the signature of the City Manager or authorized designee thereon. 
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Mesa, Maricopa 
County, Arizona, this 20th day of July , 2026.
