RESOLUTION NO.  
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MESA, 
MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, SETTING THE DATE AND TIME FOR 
THE HEARING ON THE CONTINUATION OF THE MESA TOWN 
CENTER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 228. 
 
 
WHEREAS, Resolution 5617, adopted by the City Council on October 7, 1985, requires 
the City Council to conduct a hearing to periodically consider whether to continue the operation 
of the Mesa Town Center Improvement District No. 228 (“District”). 
 
WHEREAS, the Council voted to approve the continuation of the District on December 8, 
2021 through Resolution No. 11781. Resolution No. 11781 further indicated that the City Council 
should conduct a hearing in the Fall of 2026 to determine whether to continue the operation of the 
District.  
 
WHEREAS, in accordance with Resolution No. 5617 and Resolution No. 11781, the City 
Council determines it is now time to schedule the hearing to consider whether to continue the 
operation of the District.   
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MESA: 
 
Section 1:  
The Council approves setting a date and time for conducting the hearing on the 
continuation of the District.  
 
Section 2:  
The Council sets the hearing date and time as October 26, 2026, at 5:45 p.m., at the 
Council Chambers at City Hall. Notice of the hearing will be published for five days in a daily 
newspaper of general circulation in the City.
