Initially provided and approved elevations- with focus on “Front Elevation (East)” ITEM 2. Low pony wall, fully reversible. 34 inches tall and 13 feet 6 inches long. Fixed to the new porch posts, not to the original 1945 structure. It can be removed without any loss of historic material or damage to historic fabric. The August 10, 2026 denial marks Standard 10 as consistent. ITEM 1. Gable field, durable stucco replacement. Red indicates the gable field where the deteriorated wood elements were located. Staff confirmed on site in June 2025 that this material was damaged beyond repair. The approved Certificate of Appropriateness permits replacement in a similar, more durable material, and the Historic Preservation Officer confirmed in writing on June 10, 2025 that staff's interpretation of in-kind replacement allows other, sometimes more durable, materials. The gable field is finished in the same stucco approved for the surrounding wall surfaces. Gable field: 4 feet high, 16 feet wide. ITEM 3. Softly rounded edges beneath the porch beam. Door and window opening: radius of approximately 6 inches high and 10 inches wide. The rounded edges echo the original interior arches documented in the independent appraisal photographs, and arched openings are established across contributing properties in the district. No historic material was removed to create them. They are a finish detail on new porch framing. 260 N.
