Retirement Recognition 
MAYOR HARTKE recognized Odette Moore, Economic Development Research Associate, for her 26 
years of service. 
 
MICAH MIRANDA, Economic Development Director, shared that Ms. Moore provided excellent 
customer service, leadership, and teamwork throughout her tenure. She completed invaluable 
work in data research and analysis for project support. Additionally, she led Chandler’s Innovation 
Fair initiative to allow young children to chase new discoveries and explore careers in science. Ms. 
Moore leaves a legacy of helping shape young people who are now giving back to their community. 
Mr. Miranda thanked her for her years of service and the passion, consistency, and competency 
she brought to the team.  
 
MS. MOORE shared that she had many fond memories working for Chandler and thanked her 
family for supporting her in her career.

Proclamation: Drowning Impact Awareness Month 
MAYOR HARTKE read the proclamation and invited John Sefton, Community Services Director, and 
other members of the aquatic team to accept. 
 
CHRIS SMITH, Aquatics Superintendent, shared that safety around the pool relies on education 
and proactive safety measures. He shared details on the initiatives the Aquatics team has 
implemented to help increase pool safety and shared that because of these initiatives and 
community cooperation they have reduced the number of rescues needed by 83%.

MS. BUBLIKOVA was not present at the meeting.

Move City Council approve the City Council meeting minutes of the Special Meeting held on 
July 13, 2026, the Regular Meeting held on July 13, 2026, the Study Session held on July 13, 
2026, the Special Meeting held on July 15, 2026, the Special Meeting held on July 16, 2026, 
the Regular Meeting held on July 16, 2026, and the Special Meeting held on July 27, 2026.

Resolution No. 6033, Official Canvass of the City of Chandler Primary Election of July 21, 
2026 
Move City Council pass and adopt Resolution No. 6033, accepting the official results of the 
July 21, 2026, Primary Election of the City of Chandler.

Consent Agenda Motion and Vote  
Councilmember Poston moved to approve the Consent Agenda of the August 10, 2026, Regular 
City Council Meeting; Seconded by Vice Mayor Encinas.  
 
Motion carried unanimously (6-0), Councilmember Harris absent excused.
