Meeting Minutes Chandler Museum Foundation Executive Subcommittee Regular Meeting August 19, 2026 | 2:00 p.m. Chandler Museum, Saguaro Room 300 S. Chandler Village Drive, Chandler, AZ Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Barbara Meyerson at 2:01 pm. Roll Call Board Member Attendance Staff Attendance Barbara Meyerson, Chair Jody Crago, Museum Manager Rich Feely, Vice-Chair Peter Bugg, Museum Operations Manager Dani Schulze, Museum Management Assistant Absent Greg Herriman, Treasurer Unscheduled Public Appearances None. Consent Agenda 1. Approve Minutes from the July 22, 2026, Chandler Museum Foundation Executive Subcommittee Meeting. Board Vice-Chair Rich Feely made a motion to approve meeting minutes from July 22, 2026. Board Chair Barbara Meyerson seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously 2-0. The minutes were approved as presented. Action Agenda None. Briefing 2. Funding Request for Museum Programming and Exhibitions Museum Manager Jody Crago shared that the Foundation’s mission is to support the Museum’s programs and exhibitions. Mr. Crago requested that the revenue from the museum store and rental program be used in support of the Museum’s programs and exhibitions this year, which would be about $10,000 and $7,000 respectively. Mr. Feely suggested that the contribution be specifically directed to an exhibition or program due to the Foundation’s bylaws. Mrs. Meyerson shared that the Foundation should be listed as a contributor to the appropriate exhibitions and programs. It was decided that this request would be included as an action agenda item on the next Foundation meeting’s agenda. 3. Agenda Items for September 1, 2026 Chandler Museum Foundation Board Meeting Consent Agenda – Approve Minutes Action Agenda – Approve Funding Request for Museum Programming and Exhibitions Volunteer Involvement with Strategic Plan Museum Store Update Board Chair’s Report Museum Manager’s Report 4. Museum Manager's Report The Museum is progressing with the Education and Public Program Coordinator interviews. The air conditioning in the Price House has not been working. Some wall units have been trying to keep the building cool, but the main unit is out. Facilities is working on the issue. Representative Greg Stanton visited the Museum to see the Being Eddie Basha exhibition. He began his political career with Eddie Basha Jr. Museum Storytelling Coordinator Sarah Biggerstaff partially led the tour. Member Comments Mr. Feely asked if the Foundation should have a meeting with the city manager about a specific topic. Mr. Crago suggested the board could congratulate the city manager on the transfer of three temporary positions to full-time positions. Mrs. Meyerson will reach out to the city manager’s office.
