August Chandler Cultural Foundation Special Events Meeting Minutes • Ellie Watland made a motion to approve the meeting minutes of the [prior meeting date]. Eric Piepenbrink seconded the motion. The motion carried. Action Agenda Page 1 of 2 Discussion Briefing 2. Gala Sponsorships and Table/Ticket Sales • The committee discussed sponsorship status and opportunities and current ticket sales. The committee also made commitments to purchase tickets and table sponsorships. 3. Mystery Boxes and In-Kind Donations • Peppur Chambers lead a briefing on the status of items received and committed for Mystery Box items, felt confident that this year’s goal will be met. Members were encouraged to commit to contributing items or basket items. 4. Live and Online Auction Items • Sandra Bassett discussed the status of the online auction items and provided confirmation that the items have been secured. 5. Program Update: "Boots & Bling" Murder Mystery Performance • Peppur Chambers confirmed the murder mystery script was developing and that the actors had confirmed their participation. Scheduling rehearsals is ongoing. 6. Attendee Giveaways • Eric Piepenbrink suggested Chocolate Cowboy boots as a gift for attendees, made by a local chocolatier. Staff member Sandra Bassett will follow up with the chocolatier. Member Comments/Announcements Calendar The next Special Events Committee meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 4:15 p.m., at the Chandler Museum, Saguaro Room, 300 S.
