RESOLUTION NO. __________
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MESA,
MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE ARIZONA
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY TO ACCEPT A FEDERAL VOCA
GRANT AWARD IN THE AMOUNT OF $475,076 FOR THE MESA
PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE, VICTIM SERVICES UNIT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MESA, MARICOPA
COUNTY, ARIZONA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Approving the acceptance of an Arizona Department of Public Safety
award of Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) federal grant funding in the amount of $475,076
for Victim Services Unit salaries, employee-related expenses provided through the Mesa
Prosecutor’s Office.
Section 2: Authorizing and directing the City Manager, Scott Butler, or his
designated representative, to accept this grant award funding on behalf of the City of
Mesa by executing a contract, and any related amendments, modifications, or
supplements thereto, with the Arizona Department of Public Safety, and authorizing and
directing the City Clerk to attest to the signature of the City Manager, or his designated
representative, thereon as needed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Mesa, Maricopa
County, Arizona this _____ day of September 2026.
