CITY OF BUCKEYE BUCKEYE YOUTH COUNCIL May 6, 2026 Minutes At The Landing – White Tanks Room 945 N 215th Ave #137 Buckeye, AZ 85326 5:30pm - 7:30pm 1. Call to Order/Pledge of Allegiance/Roll Call Meeting called to order by Lena Erickson at 5:40 PM. Approval of Minutes from April 15, 2026 Savannah Sanchez motioned to approve the minutes with suggested edits from the March 25, 2026, BYC meeting, Raelynn seconded. Approved unanimously. 3. Welcome Next Term's BYC Inductees Next year’s BYC members are welcomed and invited to engage with current members. 4. Upcoming Events Discussion Nothing of note, a reminder that upcoming volunteer events will be posted over the summer break. 5. Vote to Request Amendments to Youth Council Structures, Rules, and Procedures Document Councilmembers reviewed proposed revisions to the Buckeye Youth Council’s bylaws. Lamarion Buie motioned to approve the revisions, seconded by Savannah Sanchez. Revisions were unanimously approved. 6. Executive Committee Elections Councilmembers voted Lena Erickson to serve as Chair, Haylee Mosher to serve as Vice-Chair, and Dylan Jimenez to serve as secretary. 7. Comments from the Buckeye Youth Councilmembers Councilmembers were reminded to fill out and submit their media release forms, their transportation forms, and their emergency information forms. 8. Adjournment Lena Erickson shared the volunteer opportunity tracking sheet with the Youth Council and discussed upcoming events. 9.
