While home should be a place of love, safety, and peace, for many it is marked by violence and fear. Domestic violence impacts individuals of all ages and backgrounds and is a leading cause of homelessness, particularly among women and children. Its effects are often devastating and long-lasting. We acknowledge and commend those who support survivors and work to prevent abuse, and we urge all citizens to raise awareness and support efforts to end domestic violence.
