RESOLUTION NO. R2026-022 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YUMA, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN YUMA COUNTY, THE CITY OF YUMA, AND OTHER GOVERNMENTAL ENTITIES FOR THE YUMA REGION IMAGERY ACQUISITION CONSORTIUM PROJECT PROVIDING COST SHARING FOR THE PURCHASE OF UPDATED AERIAL IMAGERY WHEREAS, in January 2017, Yuma County entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with certain participating agencies to form the Yuma Region Imagery Acquisition Consortium Project, the purpose of which is to pool resources for the acquisition of updated oblique and orthogonal aerial imagery; and, WHEREAS, on November 17, 2025, Yuma County executed an agreement with Pictometry International Corp., dba EagleView, to acquire digital oblique and orthogonal aerial imagery of specific areas within Yuma County; and, WHEREAS, the participating agencies have expressed a continued interest in participating in the Yuma Region Imagery Acquisition Consortium Project and obtaining access to the digital oblique and orthogonal aerial imagery produced by EagleView; and, WHEREAS, the City of Yuma has a need for the updated aerial imagery to support Geographic Information System maps and related applications used for planning, public safety, infrastructure management, asset management, development review, emergency response, and other municipal operations; and, WHEREAS, the County and City are authorized to enter into this Agreement pursuant to A.R.S. § 11-951, et seq., and Yuma City Charter, Article III, Section 12. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Yuma as follows: SECTION 1: The Intergovernmental Agreement between Yuma County, the City of Yuma, and other governmental entities for the Yuma Region Imagery Acquisition Consortium Project, attached as Exhibit A and incorporated into this Resolution by reference, is approved in accordance with its terms. SECTION 2: The City Administrator is authorized and directed to execute the attached Intergovernmental Agreement on behalf of the City of Yuma.
