RESOLUTION NO. R2026-006 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YUMA, ARIZONA, ADOPTING THE 2025 INTEGRATED MULTIMODAL TRANSPORTATION MASTER PLAN WHEREAS, in February 2024, the City of Yuma (City) engaged Kimley-Horn Associates (Consultant) to produce an Integrated Multimodal Transportation Master Plan; and, WHEREAS, the Integrated Multimodal Transportation Master Plan is a strategic document that guides transportation decisions the City will make related to funding of future infrastructure projects; and, WHEREAS, the Integrated Multimodal Transportation Master Plan was developed based on foundational community values and specific policies and expectations outlined in the City of Yuma General Plan (2022); and, WHEREAS, the Integrated Multimodal Transportation Master Plan sets a clear vision for identifying transportation improvements that will improve mobility for all modes of transportation for the planning period from 2025 to 2035; and, WHEREAS, the City developed the Integrated Multimodal Transportation Master Plan concurrently with the Yuma Metropolitan Planning Organization’s (YMPO) Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) which provides consistency between local and regional planning for the overall future transportation system and regional air quality conformity; and, WHEREAS, the Integrated Multimodal Transportation Master Plan establishes Near-Term, Mid-Term and Long-Term projects to guide decision making that will accommodate projected geographic and population growth for all modes of transportation; and, WHEREAS, the Consultant surveyed City residents and hosted several engagement sessions to determine the community’s preferences for transportation projects that are incorporated into the Integrated Multimodal Transportation Master Plan priorities; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Yuma as follows: the 2025 Integrated Multimodal Transportation Master Plan, attached as Exhibit A and by this reference made a part of this Resolution, is hereby adopted.
