and mechanical and parts failures. Additionally, this sweeper was
recently crashed into by a semi-truck which ran a stop sign in April
2026 and has been out of service since then. Buckeye is still waiting
for the insurance company to make a determination. a

The City of Buckeye has a dedicated Sweeper Operator and Mechanic in
place to support the PM-10 certified street sweeper. The Sweeper
Operator was budgeted in FY 2027 at approximately $82,000.
Additionally, the dedicated Sweeper Mechanic at Fleet Maintenance has
been employed for numerous years and was budgeted in FY 2027 for
about $100,000 to support the street sweeper.
