RESOLUTION NO. 6020
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER,
ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION FOR
AND ACCEPTANCE OF UNITED STATES ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS
COMMUNITY PROJECT FUNDING GRANTS AND AUTHORIZING AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN VARIOUS AGENCIES OF THE UNITED STATES
AND THE CITY OF CHANDLER FOR THE RECEIPT AND DISTRIBUTION
OF THE GRANTS.
WHEREAS, Chandler’s federal representatives have advanced congressionally directed spending
requests for four Chandler projects involving well development and sewer rehabilitation; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to submit grant applications for receipt of the funds and authorize local
matching funds for the Chandler projects.
WHEREAS, the City Manager’s Office has reviewed the requests and the projects and determined
that they are consistent with the city’s administrative regulations regarding grant applications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, as
follows:
Section 1. Authorizing staff to prepare and submit grant applications for and accept grant
awards from the following federal agencies:

Section 2. Authorizing the Mayor or his designee to execute the application forms or letters in
conjunction with the grant applications.
Section 3. Authorizing the Mayor or his designee to execute an agreement in a form approved
by the City Attorney with each of the federal agencies listed above for receipt and
distribution of the grant funds.
Section 4. Authorizing acceptance of the grant funds in the amounts listed above or any other

lesser or greater amount awarded.
Section 5. Approving local matching funds of up to $250,000 for the Future Zone 2 Well
Project, up to $186,717 for the Sewer Rehab – FY27 Project, and up to $712,500
for the Well Construction – FY27 Project.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, this
day of October, 2026.
