City Mgr./Finance Director RECOMMENDED MOTION: MOVE TO APPROVE THE FISCAL YEAR 2027 GROUNDWATER ASSESSMENT BUDGET ADJUSTMENT BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: Annually, the Central Arizona Groundwater Replenishment District assesses a groundwater assessment based on actual groundwater usage. For the last two fiscal years, Liberty had a groundwater allowance that resulted in a lower groundwater assessment. For Fiscal Year 2027, we estimated $50,000 for the groundwater assessment, but the actual assessment is $74,348. The payment is due by November 1, 2026. For informational purposes, the assessments since Fiscal Year 2024 are included below: Fiscal Year 2024 $40,243 Fiscal Year 2025 $2,751 Fiscal Year 2026 $15,558 FIscal Year 2027 $74,238 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The additional financial impact is $24,348. Staff is requesting use of budgeted contingency authority. ATTACHMENTS:
