Schoaf and Members of the City Council From: Tricia Kramer, Community and Recreation Services Director Through: Matthew Williams, City Manager Meeting Date: 10/21/2026 Presenter: Tricia Kramer, Community & Recreation Services Director RECOMMENDED MOTION: MOVE TO APPROVE CANCELLATION OF THE LITCHFIELD PARK GATHERING 2027 EVENT BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: Staff have observed low vendor interest in the Litchfield Park Gathering event scheduled for January 2027. Staff would redirect Prop 302 funds from this event to the Spring Art & Wine event. Staff are working on a possible replacement event. Council had previously given staff direction to continue with the city traditional events in May 2026. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends cancellation. FINANCIAL IMPACT: Loss of some sales tax revenue and vendor registration fees. Staff will save money on event setup costs, etc. ATTACHMENTS:
