1. Summary of citizens’ concerns, issues and problems:
• Lisa Morris (480-259-5022)
o ~ Lives on the North Side of the Safeway Center "by the Hawaiian" Restaurant.
o Discussed/clarified where VVO project was in proximity to her residence. She
lives North of the Jack in the Box.
o Discussed her concern of if there was ‘mechanic work’. Informed this facility is
a drive thru oil change facility with a pit. Informed no work will be performed
outside of oil changing activities.
o She stated that “should be fine with her”.
• Nancy O’Bryan (xxx-xxx-xxxx)
o ~Lives in Val Vista Park Townhomes, Unit 48,
o “I live in the Val Vista Park Townhome complex at 1015 S Val Vista Drive. I am
opposed to the proposed new oil change facility to be located at 1129 S Val Vista
Drive. This would be constructed very close to the walls of our property, and
would require the removal of landscaping that enhances the beauty of our
property. I believe that this structure would present an eyesore and ultimately
reduce the value of our homes.”

2. How citizens’ concerns, issues, and problems, were addressed:
• Confirm with Owner that no ‘mechanic work’ to be performed other than oil changes.
• Confirmed distance of this project to Val Vista Park Townhomes for
consideration/discussion; Shortest distance between these properties is 332 feet.
• Confirmed that this project would increase the amount of landscaping and further
enhance the area more than the existing use as a parking area for the shopping center.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 480-797-7548 to discuss.
