Subject: parcel 141-63-884
This e-mail is in regards to the letter dated May 3, 2021 that was sent to all the neighbors adjacent to the above
referenced parcel. The letter states that this parcel is for sale and there is an offer on it. When we moved to this home,
we were told that the land behind us is to remain a drainage basin. | have many concerns about this property because
the entire length of our backyard faces this land with a low 4’ wall. | am concerned as to what someone would possibly
do with this parcel since it is a drainage basin. This land is very overgrown with large trees and weeds, it has become a
big worry with the dry fire season. | have had to call the police several times because people seem to think they can
camp out in there and leave their trash. |am concerned about the impending fire that will happen from these people
going in there and smoking etc. | also have had a canopy stolen; we cannot have anything of value in our own yard. The
police have not been able to stop them because the owner of the property does not care. At the time of our last call to
the police it was owned by an individual. In Dec 2019 it was conveyed to the State of Arizona. | have tried many times
to contact someone — anyone that would take responsibility for the overgrown weeds that will make great fuel for a
fire. No one cares. Now this is for sale and what will the owner do with this property. If they build on it or move dirt
around my house will be infested with more insects and rats. In the last two years we have a bad issue with rats coming
from that property thanks to the lowlifes that go in there and do whatever.
In a perfect world it would be great if the State of AZ (owner of the property), would just do some kind of clean up, weed
control and pest control. But since it is for sale for such a low price it is a worry as to what will be the intentions of the
new owners and what is actually legal.
If someone purchases this property with the intentions to build, (not sure it that is a possibility), we would want them to
clear the weeds within 4 ft. of our property for fire safety, ensure pest control and if building something that will be seen
from our yard, we would need them to pay to raise our 4 ft. wall to 6 ft.
We appreciate any help possible to get some kind of resolution we can all be happy with.
Thank you,
Chris and Peggy Thomas
