Jefferson, 10th Floor Phoenix, AZ 85003, with the following members present: Jack Sellers, Chairman, District 1; Bill Gates, Vice Chairman, District 3 (remote); Clint Hickman, Supervisor, District 4 (remote); Steve Gallardo, Supervisor, District 5. Absent: Steve Chucri, Supervisor, District 2. Also present: Juanita Garza, Clerk; Kelly Gardiner, Minutes Coordinator; Joy Rich, County Manager (remote); Andrea Cummings, Legal Counsel (remote). 1. EXECUTIVE SESSION Vote to convene in Executive Session to consider the items on the Executive Agenda dated Friday, April 23, 2021, for Board of Supervisors and relevant Special Districts pursuant to the statutory authority listed for each item. Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02(D), notice is hereby given that an emergency session of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors was held April 23, 2021 at approximately 2:00pm at 301 W. Jefferson – 10th floor, Phoenix, AZ 85003. The meeting was held with members attending either telephonically or in person. Andrea Cummings, Deputy County Attorney, stated that the emergency was due to the need to get legal advice, regarding the lawsuit filed by the Arizona Democratic Party, case CV2021-006646 – Arizona Democratic Party, et al. Vs. Fann, et al., on Thursday, April 22, 2021, and the hearing set for Friday, April 23, 2021. POSSIBLE ACTION RE: COMPLIANCE WITH THE SENATE SUBPOENA AND RELATED LITIGATION, INCLUDING THE NEW CASE, CV2021-006646, ARIZONA DEMOCRATIC PARTY, ET.AL VS FANN, ET.AL. Take possible action as directed in the April 23, 2021, Emergency Executive Session. (C-06-21-621-X-00) No action taken on this item.
