January 20, 2021 Maricopa County Treasurer’s Office ATTN: Javier Palma - Tax Deed Land Specialist 301 West Jefferson, Rm 100 Phoenix, AZ 85003 Dear Mr. Palma, It has been brought to my attention that the undeveloped wooded lot known as Parcel 220-21- 420 which is immediately adjacent to my property (9323 E CONTESSA CIRCLE — Parcel 220- 21-408) has received a bid to purchase, As you have confirmed this county owned parcel is not a buildable lot and would have no obvious value to a buyer as it cannot be developed nor built upon. | The lot is only adjacent to my property and would only provide value to myself by remaining as | is and owned by the county or myself. This wooded lot provides a considerable amount of shade on the west side of my home with the large trees that it contains. Those trees and brush also provide a natural sound barrier for the construction and development that is occurring at the Ellsworth-University corner as well as the 202 freeway. My fear is that a buyer would have the ability to come in and clear all the trees and vegetation | and remove that value for some unknown purpose. I am therefore asking the County Board to | reject the bid to purchase this parcel. I will be attending the hearing regarding this matter and would like the opportunity to speak if necessary. If the County decides to proceed with the sale of this parcel, I would like to have first option to purchase in order to retain the property as is. | If you have any questions, please contact me at 480-327-7792.
