Canvass of election: postponements Per the The governing body of a special district as defined in title 48 shall present to the board of supervisors a certified copy of the official canvass of the election as described in section 16-673 the Chandler Heights Citrus Irrigation District held a gathering to canvass the returns of the ballots from our District land owners votes. There were 1,010 ballots mailed out to our District land owners. 33 ballots were returned as “undeliverable”. The office attempted to redeliver 25 ballots sent back in a reasonable time before the election (researched & found new addresses). The 53 ballots received at the Chandler Heights Citrus Irrigation District: 4 were counted “invalid” due to marking errors or no marks. The remaining 49 were for the 2 candidates. The Chandler Heights Citrus Irrigation District of the Board therefore deems this election as valid and declares the candidate (Ella O'Neill) the winner. The owners of property in CHCID voted and Ella O’Neill was named as the winner of the election. November 18, 2020 Board of Directors Meeting held - Board certified Ella O'Neill to serve on the Board of Directors for Chandler Heights Citrus Irrigation District January 2021 - December 2023.
