IGA WITH CITY OF PHOENIX FOR HIGH INTENSITY DRUG TRAFFICKING AREA

Action Requested:
Approve an IGA with the City of Phoenix that allows MCSO to reimburse overtime of Phoenix peace
officers assigned to the Maricopa County High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Maricopa County
Drug Suppression Task Force (MCDST) that is administered by MCSO. This IGA is effective retroactive to
January 1, 2019 and ends December 31, 2019. The value of this IGA is not to exceed $30,000. The City of
Phoenix has been a HIDTA partner for several years.
HIDTA Grant Funding was accepted in agenda C-50-18-056-G-00, et seq.
HIDTA partners assist in the investigation of criminal organizations that operate drug labs and/or
distribute narcotics within the State of Arizona.
