AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
MARICOPA COUNTY
ADMINISTERED BY ITS
HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT
AND
THE TOWN OF YOUNGTOWN
Maricopa County “County” by and through the Human Services Department and the Town of Youngtown
“Subrecipient” entered into a financial Intergovernmental Agreement “Agreement” on or about December
6, 2017. The purpose of the Agreement is for the County to provide the Subrecipient with Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for installation of 48,600 linear feet of sidewalks in locations
throughout the Town that currently do not have sidewalks. The Subrecipient and County are collectively
referred to herein as the “Parties” and individually as a “Party.”
The Parties agree to enter into this Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement “Amendment” to amend the
Agreement as follows:
I. Extend the Contract Termination Date from December 2, 2019 to April 31, 2020
II. Revise Section III Work Statement Paragraph C. Implementation Schedule as follows:

III. Parties agree that the statutory language of A.R.S. §38-511 are applicable to this Amendment and
incorporate the same by reference.
IV. The County shall reimburse the Subrecipient on a net “0” payment basis.
V. The foregoing paragraphs contain all the changes to the Agreement as amended. All other terms
of the original Agreement and Amendments not amended hereby, remain in full force and effect as
approved and amended.
