FIGHTER COUNTRY PARTNERSHIP 500 N. Estreila Parkway Salt River Pima-Maricopa Suite 02 Indian Community PIO 4479 Goodyear, Arizona 85338 2019-2020 - 12% Gaming Contribution Request (623) 882-2191 Budget Detail A. Holiday Programs & Annual Awards support - $20,000 - There are two holiday programs that exist at Luke AFB — Operation Warmheart for Thanksgiving and the Angel Tree program for Christmas. FCP supports these programs annually, and depending on our annual donors, we can provide as much as $15,000 towards each holiday. The more FCP generates in support for these two programs the better as there are plenty of families who would utilize and greatly appreciate the extra assistance. At the beginning of each new year at Luke are when the Annual Awards Programs take place. Airmen get nominated for this important award, and the selected Airman gets recognized in front of all their peers. This event will have 600+ attendees to include Community Leaders as Distinguished Visitors. The budgets for these events exceeds $60,000 so any additional support FCP can bring greatly assists in the production. B. Base wide Morale & Well-Being Events - $20,000 - These events are held annually as approved by Luke Senior Leadership. Each event is an invitation for all military members to attend. The purpose of the events is to bring squadrons and family members together in an atmosphere of either friendly competition or education leaving the squadrons, military members and their families in a better position than prior to it. Open invite base functions can easily have 1,000+ people in attendance and can become very expensive just to accommodate the basics of food, supplies and beverages. Thunderbolt Cup, Finance Expo & Wellness Expo alone will run over a $50,000 budget. C. Monthly Deployed, Re-Integrating & Pre-Deployment Events-$10,000 The military used to have significant funding available for these critically important functions and no longer do. FCP fills this much needed gap and works directly with Luke's Command Chief and Chaplain to host Family retreats, monthly deployed Family events and other functions that provide a much-needed experience while the military member is deployed downrange supporting the fight. We host these events off base to assist in providing a positive distraction while the spouse is away from home. D. FCP Operation Thunderbox — Deployed Care Package - $10,000 - Between the two Fighter Wings at Luke AFB, they can have over 400 Airmen deployed at any given time. These Operation Thunderbox care packages when received provide a priceless morale boost while away from home. They received a food box and a hygiene box separate from each other with much needed items to enhance their situation abroad. The major expense for this program is simply postage. On average it cost $17.50 to send one care package. FCP's goal is to send out 400 packages quarterly which creates a $28,000 cost in postage. FIGHTER COUNTRY PARTNERSHIP 500 N Estrella Parkway Suite B2 PMB #479 Goodyoar, Arizona 85338 E. Luke Airman's Fund - $10,000 (623) 882 2191 - This is Luke's own discretionary fund to assist with airman's individual needs. For example, An Airman's wife could have cancer, and they need to fly out a relative to assist with their five children; Luke Airman's Fund supports those "individual circumstances". The Airman's Fund operate within the Command Chiefs office who works with FCP when there are unique needs to be addressed. FCP has seen this program provide great support to individuals over the past few years. FCP supports "demographics" at Luke and not individuals. FCP's support of this program ensures individual needs can be addressed when the need arises.
