ADJC Cost Shift (Ongoing Priority)
o Finish the work to permanently repeal Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections
cost shift for ALL Counties, including Maricopa and Pima.
Voluntary Lawn and Garden Equipment Program (Department Proposal)
o Clarify that a voucher for a commercial lawnmower must be at least $200.
o Add manually operated reel lawn mowers as an eligible alternative for residential
lawn mowers.
EPA Nonattainment (Educational Effort)
o Raise awareness about the potentially forthcoming moderate nonattainment
designation for the 2015 Ozone Rule.
Elections (Educational Effort)
o Educate the Legislature about the revised roles of Maricopa County Board of
Supervisors and County Recorder in administering elections.
o Voting Machine Demonstrations/Electronic Adjudication.
Proposition 400 Extension (Educational Effort)
o Clarify position of the Board regarding extension of the regional half-cent sales tax for
transportation.
o Work together with regional partners and the Legislature to find a statewide solution to
funding for ADOT maintenance and operations costs.
