AMENDMENT No. 11 to LEASE AGREEMENT
Between
FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH of MESA, LESSOR
And
MARICOPA COUNTY, LESSEE
RECITALS
A. Lessor and Lessee are parties to that certain Lease Agreement No. L-7271 dated January
6, 1999 and subsequently amended on June 2, 1999, July 26, 2000, August 22, 2001, June
10, 2002, June 8, 2005, May 21, 2008, March 19, 2010, August 3, 2011, September 9, 2014
and September 20, 2017 (collectively, the “Agreement”). The Agreement is for 1,583
square feet of classroom space at 161 North Mesa Drive, Mesa, AZ 85201 (“Premises”).
B. The term of the Agreement expires on September 30, 2020.
C. Lessor and Lessee now mutually desire to enter into this Amendment No. 11 to the
Agreement to amend the Agreement to allow for reimbursement for maintenance.
AGREEMENT
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing and other good and valuable
consideration, receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, Lessee and Lessor agree
to amend the Agreement as follows:
1. The Recitals, by this reference, are hereby incorporated into this amendment.
2. This Agreement is subject to termination pursuant to the provisions of A.R.S. § 38-511.
Either Lessor or Lessee may terminate this Agreement by giving the other party no less
than sixty (60) days prior written notice, by certified mail, of intent to terminate.
3. Lessee shall make a one-time payment to Lessor in the amount of One Hundred Fifty-Two
Dollars and Thirty-Three Cents ($152.33) for the reimbursement of the cost of the
replacement of a security panic button and related services installed at the Premises on or
about May 29, 2019.
4. The effective date of the amendment is the date of execution by the Maricopa County.
5. The foregoing paragraphs contain all the changes made by this amendment. All other terms
and conditions of the Agreement remain the same and in full force and effect.
