AMENDMENT
TO
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
MARICOPA COUNTY
ADMINISTERED BY ITS
HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT
AND
CITY OF MESA
I. Maricopa County (“County”) by and through its Human Services Department and the City of
Mesa (“City”) entered into a non-financial Intergovernmental Agreement (“Agreement”) on or
about August 5, 2015. The Agreement term began July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2017. The
Agreement has an option to renew the Agreement for two 2-year terms. The County and the City
are collectively referred to herein as the “Parties” and individually as “Party.”
The purpose of the Agreement is to locate County staff at the City of Mesa Main Library located at
64 E. 1st Street, Mesa, AZ 85201 to provide comprehensive Workforce Innovation and Opportunity
Act (WIOA) Youth Program services in the eastern section of Maricopa County.
The Parties executed Amendment No. 1, renewal option #1 on or about October 6, 2017, which
extended the term of the Agreement from June 30, 2017 to June 30, 2019.
II. The Parties now wish to amend the Agreement as follows (Amendment No. 2 renewal option #2):
A. Extend the Agreement term from June 30, 2019 to June 30, 2021. Upon approval of this
Amendment, no renewal terms will remain.
B. The Amendment term will begin July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2021.
III. This agreement is subject to A.R.S. §38-511. The foregoing paragraphs contain all the changes
made by this Amendment. All other terms and conditions of the original Agreement remain the
same and in full force and effect as approved and amended.
