Intergovernmental Agreement No. 143720 with the City of Phoenix was approved on September 21, 2016 (C-75-17-001-3-00), and amended by Amendment No. 1 on May 23, 2018 (C-75-001-3- 01). This item is located in Supervisory District 3. Board required information: Amendment No. 2 to Intergovernmental Agreement No. 143720 will allow Maricopa County, at its sole cost and expense, to install and maintain pipeline infrastructure within the City of Phoenix right of way and easements upon review and approval of design plans by the City of Phoenix. The City of Phoenix will own the pipeline infrastructure immediately after it is purchased by the County. This pipeline installation is necessary to conduct required groundwater remediation associated with the County’s Cave Creek Landfill. There is no financial impact as the installation and maintenance of the pipeline infrastructure is a cost of the on-going environmental liability for the Cave Creek Landfill. There is no cost associated with the amendment beyond what has already been accounted for in the environmental liability. Additional Information: Expenditure Impact by FY: None.
