AMENDMENT TO
WORK EXPERIENCE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
MARICOPA COUNTY
ADMINISTERED BY ITS
HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT
AND

I. Maricopa County (“County”) by and through its Human Services Department and
__________________ (“Partner”) entered into a non-financial Work Experience (WEX)
Agreement (“Agreement”) on or about __________. The purpose of this Agreement is for the
Parties to provide WEX opportunities to eligible program participants enrolled in Workforce
Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). The County and the Partner may be referred to
individually as “Party” or collectively as “Parties.”
Through this Agreement, participants are referred to the Partner to provide participants with
exposure to the work environment, opportunities to develop occupational skills, promoting good
work habits, and developing specific occupational goals through the WEX. The WEX opportunities
are designed to enable program participants to establish a work history, demonstrate success in a
work environment by developing skills that lead to unsubsidized employment. The Agreement
includes an option to extend the Agreement for two (2) one-year terms.
II. The Parties now wish to amend the Agreement “Amendment No. 1” (renewal option #1), as
follows:
A. Extend the Agreement termination date from ______________ to ______________.
III. This Amendment is subject to A.R.S. §38-511. The foregoing paragraphs, contain all the changes
made by this Amendment. All other terms and conditions of the original Agreement remain the
same and in full force and effect as approved and amended.
