Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. Calendar Participation Agreement for Law Enforcement Agencies
Project Description
Each year, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. hosts an annual calendar fundraiser. The printed, full-color
calendar features twelve various breeds of K9s who have been provided vests by our organization and a
memorial page paying tribute to the four-legged heroes who have passed in the previous year.
The calendar and the calendar participants (celebrities) are promoted nationally via the Vested Interest in
K9s website, 250,000+ fans across four social media sites, and through calendar autograph signing events
in the local communities where the calendar “celebrities” and their K9 partners serve.
Requirements of Participation
As a participant in the 2020 calendar project, the handler and K9 will:
1. Work with a professional photographer secured by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., at no cost to the
agency for a photo shoot. The Officer will be in uniform and the K9 will wear the donated vest
by Vested Interest in K9s and a badge if he has one. Vested Interest in K9s provides photo shot
list and criteria directly to the photographer.
a. Deadline for completing the photo shoot is May 15, 2019 to ensure July 2019
printing timeline is met.
2. Partake in ONE calendar autograph signing event locally for a minimum period of two hours.
The department is welcome to set up additional autograph signing events to promote positive
community relations.
a. Calendar and other supplies will be mailed to the agency at no cost for the autograph
signing event(s). (Min of 100 calendars to start)
b. Autographed calendars are sold at the event for $17 (cash or check made payable to
VIK9s) and funds are handled by a party other than the Officer “celebrity” during the
signing events. Extra autographed calendars can be available at the police station/law
enforcement agency office for an extended amount of time. All unsold calendars and
collected funds must be returned (at the agency’s cost) to Vested Interest in K9s by
January 10, 2020.
Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is pleased to donate back to the participating agency $15 of each
calendar sale in the form of equipment or services grant for the K9 unit. We are not able to
donate funds directly to any law enforcement agency.
3. The participating agency will disseminate at least one press release as provided by Vested Interest
in K9s, Inc. with full content referencing the calendar project via social media and other media
outlets.
4. Understand that photos selected for the 2020 calendar are not disclosed to participating teams or
photographer prior to the public release of the calendar. Photos are the sole property of Vested
Interest in K9s, Inc. and are not available for participant use.

Benefits of Participation
• Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is pleased to donate back to the participating agency $15 of each
calendar sold by the agency in the form of equipment or services grant for the K9 unit. We are
not able to donate funds directly to any law enforcement agency.

By signing below, Agency acknowledges and agrees to participate in the Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. 2020
calendar project and meet all the requirements of participation. Submitter attests that any electronic
signatures on this document are an authentic and genuine representation of the Authorized signer.
