Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
for SFY 2018
Final Allocation Adjustment: The Division of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) has received
notification of allocation of Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) funds for
Federal Fiscal Year 2018. Agencies were offered the option to recieve a portion of these funds for
SFY 2018. The City of Phoenix Human Services Department elected this option. $260,000 in
additional funds will be added to contract allocations for State Fiscal Year 2018. Allocations for all
other agencies are unchanged. LIHEAP adjusted contract allocations for SFY 2019 are awarded
under a separate cover.
The following contract allocations are being made to designated LIHEAP providers.

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
for SFY 2019
The Division of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) has received its notification of appropriations of Low
Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) for Federal Fiscal Year 2018. The LIHEAP
allocation for SFY 2019 is $25,712,073, less $260,000 to be allocated to SFY 2018. This SFY 2018
adjustment will announced under a separate cover. The adjusted allocation for SFY 2019 is
$25,452,073. This allocation includes a funding increase from SFY 2018. The following additional
contract allocations are being made to designated LIHEAP providers for State Fiscal Year 2019.

The LIHEAP funds include provider administration, vouchers, and Assurance 16. Please note that
Assurance 16 funds are to be used for services that encourage and enable households to reduce their
home energy needs and, thereby, the need for energy assistance, including needs assessments,
counseling, and assistance with energy education. There is a 15 percent set-aside for low-income
residential weatherization to be coordinated through the Arizona Department of Housing. One percent
($40,049) of the total weatherization allocation is approved for training purposes. This amount
represents an increase.
An allocation of $25,000 is made to the Arizona Community Action Association for Leveraging Activities
allowed under the governing legislation. This amount is unchanged.
