AMENDMENT NO. 2
TO THE
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
MARICOPA COUNTY
ADMINISTERED BY ITS
HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT
AND
CITY OF SURPRISE
I. Maricopa County (the “County”) by and through its Human Services Department (MCHSD), and
the City of Surprise (“City”) entered into a financial Intergovernmental Agreement (“Agreement”)
to integrate the County’s workforce development system into the City’s Resource Center. The term
of the Agreement began on July 1 2017 through June 30, 2018. . The Agreement was amended on
March 2018 to include additional program requirements. The County and the City are collectively
referred to herein as the “Parties” and individually as “Party”.
II. The Parties now wish to Amend the Agreement as follows:
A. Extend the Agreement term from June 30, 2018 to June 30, 2019.
B. The Amendment shall be effective on July 1, 2018.
C. The City shall reimburse the County a not to exceed amount of $27,533.58 for the extension
period. The City shall pay the County the monthly amount not to exceed $2,294.47.
D. Include Attachment “A” Itemized Service Budget (ISB) to the Agreement as modified for
the new agreement term.
III. The Agreement may be extended for two (2) additional one (1) year terms. Upon approval of
Amendment No. 2, one (1) one-year renewal term will remain.
IV. This Agreement is subject to A.R.S. §38-511. The foregoing paragraphs, contain all the changes
made by this Amendment. All other terms and conditions of the original Agreement remain the
same and in full force and effect as approved and amended.
