AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON
COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF WICKENBURG,
ARIZONA, DECREASING THE CORPORATE LIMITS
OF THE TOWN OF WICKENBURG, BY DEANNEXING
TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF
WICKENBURG PURSUANT TO SECTION 9-471.03,
ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES, CONTINGENT UPON
THAT SAME TERRITORY BEING ACCEPTED BY
MARICOPA COUNTY
WHEREAS, on February 18, 2003 the Town Council adopted Ordinance
892 which included annexation of territory in Maricopa County in Section 15; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have determined it to be in the best
interest of the Town of Wickenburg for certain territory, described below, to be
deannexed by the Town of Wickenburg to Maricopa County contingent upon that same
territory being accepted by Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and Maricopa County
Assessor; and
WHEREAS, Section 9-471.03, Arizona Revised Statutes, provides for the
deannexation of Right of Way from a municipality to the County; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Wickenburg desires to deannex the territory
described below, contingent upon the acceptance of that same territory by Maricopa
County; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Common
Council of the Town of Wickenburg, Arizona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Council hereby determines that the
territory to be deannexed, hereafter referred to as the "Territory," is as follows:
RIGHT-OF-WAY DESCRIPTION FOR DE-ANNEXATION:
THE WEST 40.0 FEET OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF THE NORTHWEST
QUARTER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER AND THE WEST 40.0 FEET OF THE
SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 15,
TOWNSHIP 7 NORTH, RANGE 5 WEST OF THE GILA AND SALT RIVER BASE
AND MERIDIAN, MARICOPA COUNTY ARIZONA.
TOGETHER WITH THE EAST 15 FEET OF THE WEST 55.00 FEET OF A PORTION
OF THE NORTH HALF OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHWEST
QUARTER OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 15, TOWNSHIP 7

NORTH, RANGE 5 WEST, OF THE GILA AND SALT RIVER BASE AND
MERIDIAN, MARICOPA COUNTY ARIZONA FURTHER DESCRIBED AS
FOLLOWS:
COMMENCING AT THE WEST QUARTER CORNER OF SAID SECTION 15;
THENCE NORTH 00 00300" EAST TO THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SAID
NORTH 1/2 A DISTANCE OF 330.08 FEET, ALSO BEING THE TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING;
THENCE NORTH 00°03'00" EAST ALONG THE WESTERLY LINE TO THE
NORTHWEST CORNER OF SAID NORTH 1/2 A DISTANCE OF 330.07 FEET;
THENCE SOUTH 89°44'51" EAST ALONG THE NORTHERLY LINE OF SAID
NORTH 1/2 A DISTANCE OF 250.00 FEET;
THENCE SOUTH 00°03'00" WEST TO A POINT ON THE SOUTHERLY LINE OF
SAID NORTH 1/2 A DISTANCE OF 330.01 FEET;
THENCE NORTH 89°44'51" WEST ALONG SAID SOUTHERLY LINE A
DISTANCE OF 250.00 FEET TO THE TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
TOGETHER WITH THAT PORTION OF SAID SECTION 15 FURTHER
DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
COMMENCING AT THE WEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 15;
THENCE SOUTH 00003'15" WEST, 626.98 FEET ALONG THE WESTERLY LINE
OF SAID SECTION 15;
THENCE SOUTH 89 046 132" EAST, 40.00 FEET TO THE INTERSECTION POINT OF
THE EAST 40.00 FEET RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF STEINWAY DRIVE AND THE
NORTH 33.00 FEET RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF MANRAD ROAD AND THE POINT
OF BEGINNING;
THENCE CONTINUING ALONG THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF
MANRAD ROAD SOUTH 89046 132" EAST, 196.00 FEET;
THENCE SOUTH 00 00315" WEST, 33.00 FEET TO THE CENTERLINE OF
MANRAD ROAD;
THENCE NORTH 8904632" WEST, 196.00 FEET ALONG SAID CENTERLINE TO
A POINT ON THE EAST 40.00 FEET RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF STEINWAY
ROAD;
THENCE NORTH 00 003'15" EAST, 33.00 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.

SECTION 2. The Town Council of the Town of Wickenburg declares the
deannexation and the return of the territory to Maricopa County, contingent upon the
fulfillment of the conditions set forth in A.R.S. Section 9-471.03.
SECTION 3. That the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
forward a certified copy of this Ordinance to the Chairman and the Clerk of the Board of
Supervisors of Maricopa County, Arizona, evidencing its successful passage on the day
and date written below.

Wickenburg, Arizona, this 20th day of November, 2017.
