AMENDMENT TO THE
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
MARICOPA COUNTY
ADMINISTERED BY ITS
HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT
AND
CITY OF CHANDLER
I. Maricopa County (“County”) by and through the Maricopa County Human Services Department and the City of
Chandler (“City”) entered into a financial Intergovernmental Agreement (“IGA” or “Agreement”) on or about
February 9, 2016. The Agreement effective date is July 1, 2014 through February 9, 2018. The County provided
the City $273,223 HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development (HUD) to assist eligible low income homebuyers through Newtown Community Land
Trust program (2015 a Work Statement) and to assist low income homeowners through a housing reconstruction
program (2015b Work Statement). The County and the City may be referred to individually as “Party” or
collectively as “Parties.”
II. The Parties wish to amend the Agreement as follows:
A. Extend the contract termination date of the Agreement from February 9, 2018 to September 30, 2020.
Extending the contract termination date of the Agreement will provide the City with additional time to
complete the previously approved scope of work. By doing so, the Parties also agree that all work
performed or costs incurred or expended under the previously approved scope of work remain
reimbursable under the terms of the Agreement.
B. Replace 2015b Work Statement with a new 2015c Work Statement to provide $60,000 for Tenant Based
Rental Assistance.
III. This agreement is subject to A.R.S. §38-511. The foregoing paragraphs, contain all the changes made by this
Amendment. All other terms and conditions of the original agreement remain the same and in full force and
effect as approved and amended.

AUTHORITY GRANTED UNDER THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF ARIZONA.
