AMENDMENT No. 1 TO THE
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
MARICOPA COUNTY
ADMINISTERED BY ITS
HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT
AND
CITY OF PEORIA
I. Maricopa County (“County”) by and through the Maricopa County Human Services Department and
the City of Peoria (“City”) entered into a financial Intergovernmental Agreement (“IGA” or
“Agreement”) on or about March 08, 2017. The Agreement effective date is July 1, 2016 through
December 6, 2018. The County provided the City $180,641 in HOME Investment Partnerships
Program funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide
funding for construction of new housing and homebuyer assistance. The County and the City may be
referred to individually as “Party” or collectively as “Parties.” This Amendment shall revise the
Agreement termination date to September 30, 2021 and shall increase the funding amount by $177,887
from $180,641 to $358,528.
II. The Parties wish to amend the Agreement as follows:
A. Add an additional Work Statement hereinafter referred to as “2017a Work Statement”.
Funding for 2017a Work Statement shall consist of HOME funds in the amount of $177,887
for construction of two new single family houses and homebuyer assistance. The expenditure
term for this work statement shall expire on September 30, 2021.
B. All work performed or costs incurred or expended under the previously approved Work
Statement (2016a) in the amount of $180,641 shall remain reimbursable under the terms of
the original Agreement. The expenditure term for this work statement shall expire on
September 30, 2019.
III. This agreement is subject to A.R.S. §38-511. The foregoing paragraphs, contain all the changes made
by this Amendment. All other terms and conditions of the original agreement remain the same and in
full force and effect as approved and amended.
