Summary from the owner’s representative:
Honeywell Aerospace (“Honeywell”), a business unit of Honeywell International Inc., innovates
and integrates thousands of products and services to advance and deliver safe, efficient,
productive and comfortable experiences worldwide. With a history dating back to WWII,
Honeywell’s presence in Arizona, through our legacy companies, reflects a long and proud
commitment to the State. Today, Honeywell Aerospace Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, is a
technology and services leader in three main sectors: Air Transport & Regional, Business and
General Aviation, and Defense and Space. Honeywell employs approximately 9,000 people in
the state of Arizona, with almost 7,000 in the Honeywell FTZ.
In 2014, the City of Phoenix as a Foreign Trade Zone Grantee agreed to support Honeywell
Aerospace’s application for Foreign Trade Zone, FTZ 75J. Today, Honeywell is seeking to elect
the option to exercise a real and personal property tax reclassification for potential future
investment. This request would not impact any real and personal property tax collected today,
however would reduce the classification for new investment in accordance with Arizona State
law.
Honeywell is planning several capital improvement projects at the FTZ sites with up to $285.6
million in capital investments over the next three years. And while there are no immediate
plans for real property or capital expansion to the Honeywell FTZ site, should such an
opportunity arise, the desire is to make Honeywell Phoenix a priority for future expansion.
Property tax reclassification is a strong driver in the decision-making process for potential

expansions. Exercising the benefits available in a FTZ will make Phoenix more appealing when
deciding where to engage in future pursuits.
