AMENDMENT TO THE
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
MARICOPA COUNTY
ADMINISTERED BY ITS
HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT
AND
THE CITY OF BUCKEYE
I. Maricopa County (“County”) administered by its Human Services Department and the
City of Buckeye (“City”) entered into a financial Intergovernmental Agreement (“IGA” or
“Agreement”) on or about November 23, 2015. The Agreement effective date is July 1,
2015 through November 23, 2017. The County provided the City $493,162 in
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for installation of new sewer lines that would
replace the existing aging sewer lines. An Administrative Change Order was executed
on or about September 1, 2017 to revise the activity Implementation Schedule. The
County and the City may be referred to individually as “Party” or collectively as “Parties.”
II. The Parties wish to amend the Agreement to address the following:
A. Extend the Agreement termination date from November 23, 2017 to July 12,
2018. Extending the Agreement termination date will provide the City with
additional time to complete the project activities.
B. Revise the Implementation Schedule:
Completion of Construction from September 20, 2017 to May 13, 2018
Project Completion from October 31, 2017 to June 14, 2018

III. This Amendment is effective upon approval and signature by both Parties.
IV. This Agreement is subject to A.R.S. §38-511.
V. The foregoing paragraphs contain all the changes made by this Amendment. All other
terms of the original Agreement and Administrative Changes not amended hereby,
remain in full force and effect as approved and amended.
