Re: Aguila Irrigation District 2017 Election of Directors
Dear Ms. Medaris,
Pursuant to A.R.S. §16-410(A), Aguila Irrigation District ("AID") hereby requests cancellation of its
election of directors scheduled and noticed for November 14, 2017. AID has received timely nomination
petitions and/or nomination papers from only three candidates—one for each of the three division seats
whose terms are expiring. Those candidates are, in each instance, the current incumbents, as follows:
Chris Franks, Division One
Dan Dempsey, Division Two
Stephen Martori, Division Three
AID respectfully requests that the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors cancel the November 14, 2017
election, and appoint the above-named persons to fill the 3-year term of director in their respective
divisions commencing January 1, 2018.
