AMENDMENT TO THE
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
MARICOPA COUNTY
ADMINISTERED BY ITS
HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT
AND
TOWN OF GILBERT
I. Maricopa County (“County”) administered by its Human Services Department and the Town of
Gilbert (“Town”) entered into a financial Intergovernmental Agreement (“IGA” or “Agreement”) on
or about January 12, 2017. The Agreement effective date is July 1, 2016 through January 12, 2019. The
County provided the Town with $200,023 in HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds from
the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to acquire and rehabilitate one
affordable rental home. The County and the Town may be referred to individually as “Party” or
collectively as “Parties.”
II. The Parties wish to amend the Agreement as follows:
A. Add an additional scope of work to provide 2017 HOME funds in the amount of $201,990 to
acquire and rehabilitate an additional affordable home to be rented and increase the number of
households to be assisted by one (1).
B. Extend the contract termination date from January 12, 2019 to September 30, 2021. Extending
the contract termination date will provide the Town with additional time to complete the new
scope of work associated with the 2017 HOME funds.
C. All work performed or costs incurred or expended under the previously approved scope of
work remain reimbursable under the terms of the original Agreement:
i. Provide funding to acquire and rehabilitate one affordable rental home.
ii. Expenditure term for $200,023 shall expire on January 12, 2019.
III. This agreement is subject to A.R.S. §38-511. The foregoing paragraphs, contain all the changes made by
this Amendment. All other terms and conditions of the original agreement remain the same and in full
force and effect as approved and amended.
