The Clerk asked if there were any additional bids and there were none. The Clerk noted that Mr. Miskin had attached a letter to his bid explaining that this parcel is a thin strip of land that is attached to numerous residential partials. They will have a company come in and divide the land in order to attach small parcels to each individual property owner. William Pearson, resident, wanted to know the end result of this action. He stated he knows what Mr. Mishkin’s plan is with the land and would support his decision on what they plan to do with the property. However he wanted to know once the properties are divided up what are the regulations for the property owners to maintain them. Cory Mishkin, resident, stated there are State and City statues and regulations that require the property owner to maintain a wash floodway free from debris and keep the water flowing. The goal is to buy the property and reapportion it to the property owners with land adjacent to the wash. Supervisor Gates noted he knows Mr. Mishkin from the City of Phoenix and appreciates him and the neighbors for coming up with this solution.
