RESOLUTION 17-021
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF
MARICOPA COUNTY AND THE MARICOPA COUNTY HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT
FOR THE PROVISION OF HOME TENANT-BASED RENTAL ASSISTANCE ACTIVITIES
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of Maricopa County (HAMC) and the Maricopa County
Human Services Department (MCHSD) seek to prevent homelessness by providing
decent, affordable rental housing for families in need; and
WHEREAS, HAMC and MCHSD wish to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA)
for the provision of HOME Tenant-Based Rental Assistance services as indicated in the
IGA Scope of Work for a term to commence on October 1, 2017 for a twenty-four (24)
month term in the amount of $330,000. The Agreement may be extended by a written
amendment for three twelve-month periods, or portions thereof, at the concurrence of
both parties.
BE IT RESOLVED, the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of Maricopa
County hereby adopts Resolution No. 17-021 and approves the IGA between the
Housing Authority of Maricopa County and the Maricopa County Human Services
Department for the provision of HOME Tenant-Based Rental Assistance activities. The
term of the IGA is October 1, 2017 for a twenty-four (24) month term in the amount of
$330,000.
