AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO FACILITIES USE AGREEMENT
Between
HELPING FAMILIES IN NEED
And
MARICOPA COUNTY
This Amendment No. 1 to Facilities Use Agreement (this "Amendment") is made and
entered into by and between the Helping Families in Need, an Arizona non-profit corporation
(“Contractor”) and Maricopa County, a political subdivision of the State of Arizona, (“County”).
Contractor and County are sometimes collectively referred to herein as the “Parties” or
individually as a “Party.”
RECITALS:
A. County and Contractor are parties to that certain Facilities Use Agreement No. P-50276
approved by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors on October 7, 2015 (the
“Agreement”). The Agreement is for use of premises at 950 E. Van Buren Street,
Avondale, AZ 85323 (the “Premises”).
B. The term of the Agreement expires on October 6, 2017.
C. County and Contractors now mutually desire to extend the Agreement to create a new
term and change the Premises and Use schedule.
AGREEMENT
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing and other valuable
consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, County and
Contractor agree to amend the Agreement as follows:
1. The term of the Agreement is hereby modified and extended approximately two (2) years,
to commence September 13, 2017, at the new Premises, and expire October 31, 2019.
This Amendment is subject to termination pursuant to the provisions of A.R.S. § 38-511.
Either party may terminate the Agreement upon 30-day written notice to the other.
2. Exhibit A is updated to change the Premises location and schedule, attached hereto and
by this reference made a part hereof.
3. The effective date of this Amendment is the date of execution by the Chairman of the
Maricopa County Board of Supervisors.

4. The foregoing paragraphs contain all the changes made by this Amendment. All other
terms and conditions of the original Agreement shall remain the same and in full force
and effect.
